Alternatively, after a short journey along the coast road you will find busy resorts such as Faliraki or Kiotari. Here you can enjoy watersports or beachside tavernas and bars.

Eating out on Rhodes is a great pleasure. For Rhodians a restaurant is more than a place to have a bite before the evening entertainment, very often, dinner is the entertainmentPalm Tree. There is much more on offer than just moussaka, tsaziki and Greek salad. Try the mouth watering selection of Rhodian dishes that have been influenced by its lively history, going all the way back to antiquity.

Nowadays Rhodes offers a multitude of different eating options, to suit all tastes and pockets. From top class restaurants serving international cuisine to simply furnished, but nicely decorated, basic Greek Tavernas. Small coffee shops serve light snacks. You will find something to suit every palate. There are also ‘ethnic’ restaurants serving Chinese, Indian, Scandinavian, German and Italian food. For those who want something quicker or simpler there are plenty of fast-foods such as Souvlaki and Gyros Pitta, Chips and Burgers.
